 As someone on the shy-er side, I didn't want everybody to share such a tender slow dance in front of two hundred guests, so we chose a song and had Grace choreograph moves to it! She has a gift with making a song truly come alive through dance. We got so many complements on the dance that said it was truly EPIC!! The whole process was so amazing too. She was so understanding and encouraging when it felt like we weren't getting it! Planning a wedding can be quite crazy, and of you're not careful, those sweet little moments can just get swept away in the business. Those practice session were beautiful, because we would get to pause, hold each other and learn how to lead and follow. Things you need for a good marriage. I fully believe that the good communication and partnership that you learn through dance helps prepare both of you for marraige.   Grace is amazing, and she creates a masterpiece with every dance she choreographs. Our special dance was definitely a highlight of mine and Nathan's wedding, and we have Grace with Epic First Dance to thank for it!

 My husband and I scheduled our dance lessons with Grace simply as 'fun date nights.' However, during our first lesson, we both realized we were gaining far MORE! The dancing techniques we learned brought us closer together in so many ways. Together, we learned, moved, laughed and made memories! Whether we're in the kitchen or at a concert, when a song comes on, we NOW have the confidence to stop what we're doing, embrace and totally get caught-up in the moment of one another's arms! That confidence, fun and closeness made lessons with Grace the BEST date nights we could have ever asked for!

 Group Dance Lessons

 Grace Smith is where dancing started for us! My fiance and I both loved to dance, but didn't have many opportunities to do so, nor to learn. Christiana taught us a few moves when we were still dating, and when it came time to plan our first dance for our wedding, we knew that she was our girl! She basically took two completely untrained people and both choreographed and then taught us an amazing wedding dance! And a lot of it long distance at that! Even with the limited number of rehearsals that we had with her, she gave us sufficient instruction (including big-picture overview and detail) so that we were able to pull off a TRULY EPIC First Dance!
I can’t even get over the emotion that ran through our heads and hearts during that dance. The dance was almost a “wordless” way of telling our story, with the highs and the lows, the slow dance sweetness and the victorious aerials and dips- not to mention the song that we chose was “From the Ground Up...” Everything about it was personalized to US, and what our dance level was. Christiana is a very patient and amazing teacher and choreographer!
Our Epic First Dance was most definitely a highlight of our reception; so many of our guests loved it, and we are SO thrilled to have highlighted that special time in our life with our very own choreographed Wedding Dance. We also have an awesome dance to do whenever we want to reminisce, something we can have with us the rest of our lives!

The line dancing class led by Grace Smith was definitely one of the most popular and fun events of our recent ladies retreat! She taught us with patience and led with such enthusiasm that even the most reluctant learner joined in and by the end, everyone was dancing with confidence and enjoying themselves to the fullest! She added a delightful element of energy, vitality, and laughter to our weekend event that was truly inspiring to all.

Deaton Creek Del Webb - Group Lessons

I took a group waltz and private swing class with Grace and Tim instructing. I went without a partner to the waltz class, but Grace informed me that there were more guys than girls. It worked out perfectly. I was not familiar with following until my first lesson with them. Tim had some great ways and analogies of teaching it. He is also a great lead, so it’s always fun to dance with him. Grace is a great instructor. She explains steps and spins in an understandable way that allowed for me to pick up dance moves pretty quickly. If I didn’t catch on to a move, she was always willing to reexplain it. I really enjoyed taking these classes them.

Private Lessons

My husband and I had talked for years about taking a dance class.. but actually doing it was a different story!   

That is until we found Christiana!  Christiana's Waltz class was absolutely amazing!  Though in the past, my husband and I would have said that he and I both have two left feet, we quickly were able to pick up the dance due to Christian's instructions, patience and zeal during each lesson.  The class was fun, encouraging, engaging and excellent for our marriage!

We booked Epic First Dance to come and teach a beginner/intermediate East Coast swing dance class at our Spring @ Sautee dance weekend. We couldn’t have been MORE thrilled! As the 17 piece Toccoa Jazz band set up and prepped for their performance, Grace and Tim had about 60 - 70 people on the dance floor enthusiastically encouraging them in the “tricks of the trade. “ 💃🏼 🕺 We were floored at the interest level, but it’s not actually really *that much of a surprise because they are expert dance teachers and seriously made it SO enjoyable for all that participated. 🥳 Our dancers they took the class had skill levels that ranged from beginner to advanced and the feedback we heard from all levels was incredible. We are booking them right away for next year‘s dance event, and I would highly suggest you consider the same!
